Multi-Trade Operative

Responsibilities

• Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications.
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking when needed.
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery by resolving problems and keeping customers informed.
• Providing accurate and timely information on progress of works in a manner easily understood by customers.

Qualifications

• Qualified or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical) or Level 3 Plumbing (Unvented-G3 Certificate, WRAS) as required. Original certificates must be presented; copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
• Demonstrated awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation.
• Skills in plumbing, carpentry and joinery, kitchen and bathroom installations, and UPVC door and window fitting.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and plan ahead.
• Full valid UK driving licence (required for operating the company vehicle).
• Company van and power tools will be provided. A basic Disclosure and Barring Service check, paid by the employer, is required.
