Shift Pattern: 07:00-15:00 / 12:00-20:00

We're looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Technician with an electrical bias to join an established engineering team across two large healthcare sites in Newcastle.
This is a varied building services maintenance role, carrying out planned and reactive works across electrical and associated mechanical systems within a critical healthcare environment.
You'll work across systems including LV electrical, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, nurse call, hot water, heating and ventilation, providing day-to-day maintenance support and helping keep essential hospital services running safely and efficiently.
What You'll Be Doing- Carry out planned preventative maintenance across electrical and building services systems.
- Respond to reactive maintenance and breakdowns within required timescales.
- Fault find and repair electrical systems and associated equipment.
- Test and maintain emergency lighting systems.
- Support fixed wire testing and rectify identified faults.
- Carry out testing and maintenance of lightning protection systems.
- Work across LV systems, lighting, fire alarms and nurse call systems.
- Support maintenance across hot water, heating and ventilation systems.
- Carry out electrical isolations safely when required.
- Ensure plant and equipment is maintained in line with O&M manuals and relevant legislation.
- Assist with the supervision of visiting subcontractors.
- Complete job sheets, reports and maintenance documentation accurately.
- Follow safe systems of work and Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Previous experience within electrical and/or multi-skilled building services maintenance.
- Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
- Experience with LV systems, lighting and emergency lighting.
- Knowledge of fire alarm and nurse call systems would be beneficial.
- Experience or knowledge of hot water, heating and ventilation systems.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
- Ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete maintenance documentation accurately.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Previous experience within healthcare, hospitals or other critical environments would be beneficial.
- Ability to pass a Standard DBS check.
