Job Description

What will you be doing?

As Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for reactive maintenance repairs on factory machinery and providing preventative maintenance to ensure smooth operations.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning the biomass boiler weekly
  • Maintaining Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) equipment for optimal performance
  • Assisting with goods inwards FLT driving as needed
  • Repairing and maintaining hand tools
  • Liaising with machinery specialists on repairs, servicing, and breakdowns
  • Conducting site inspections per local authority checks and permits
  • Performing regular checks on emergency lighting
  • Maintaining high standards of the premises
  • Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety and Fire regulations to minimize risks
  • Managing inventory of replacement parts to reduce machinery downtime
  • Participating in team meetings across various departments

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with potential for permanent employment.

You will also promote our Coffin Factory within the local community.

The typical working hours are Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm, with some flexibility required due to the reactive nature of the role.

How will I know if I am right for this role?

The ideal candidate will be a versatile 'all-rounder' with a background in production, machine maintenance, electrical experience, and relevant certifications.

You should be comfortable working independently, adaptable to changing tasks, and eager to learn all factory processes.

Strong problem-solving skills are essential. Experience with TPM processes is desirable but not essential.
