MOT Technician

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Automotive Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester within a fast-fit auto centre located in Bedford.

Our Automotive Client has a need for a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester who is motivated and able to work to their own initiative.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Carry out MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
• Perform servicing, maintenance, and repair work on a wide range of vehicles.
• Conduct diagnostics and inspections to identify faults and recommend appropriate repairs.
• Carry out work on brakes, tyres, suspension, exhausts, and wheel alignment.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of safety and quality.
• Maintain accurate documentation and job cards.

Requirements:

• A valid MOT Tester Licence (Class 4).
• Qualified Vehicle Technician (NVQ Level 2 or 3) or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in a fast-fit centre or dealership environment.
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• A positive, motivated attitude with a desire to learn and progress

The salary of this role is up to £35000 basic with OTE of £39000.

Hours of work for this Vehicle Technician role are Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pmSaturday mornings, 8:30am - 12:30pm.
