Mosaic Finance Specialist - Local Government

Job Title: Mosaic Finance Consultant
Location: Remote (occasional on-site visit to collect laptop)
Rate: £500-£550 per day
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Contract Length: 3-6 months
Start Date: ASAP

The Role:

A London Borough is urgently seeking an experienced Mosaic Finance Consultant to investigate and resolve a backlog of incomplete payment cycles within Adult and Children's Social Care.

This is a critical role, involving large sums of public money that need reconciling, with historic issues dating back to early Mosaic implementation. The successful contractor will lead on identifying where issues lie, rectifying financial processes, and improving reporting and workflows around Mosaic payments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and reconcile Mosaic payment records, particularly incomplete cycles

• Identify lost or recoverable funds and correct Legacy issues

• Work closely with internal teams to clean up financial processes

• Recommend process improvements to prevent future payment issues

• Focus on analysis and decision-making - admin support will be provided

Essential Experience:

• Strong working knowledge of Mosaic (adults and/or children's)

• Proven experience working in local authority social care finance

• Understanding of care payments, reconciliation, and financial workflows

• Ability to hit the ground running in a high-pressure environment

Additional Info:

• Role is fully remote, with only one on-site requirement for equipment pickup
