£30,000 - £35,000 | 25 days holiday + your birthday off

Full-time | Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 4:00pm

I'm recruiting on behalf of a technology solutions provider that supports multiple education sites across London. They're looking for a Mobile IT Support Engineer to join their growing team and delivery high quality onsite and remote IT support across schools.

The Role: You'll be the on-site point of contact across three schools, supporting staff and students with 1st and 2nd line technical issues. back by a wider remote service desk and technical team, you'll maintain hardware, resolve incidents and contribute to improvements in IT systems used for teaching and learning.

Note: This is a mobile field-based role across three schools. Travel expenses are not reimbursed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues across devices and classroom equipment
  • Maintain laptops, AV screens, printers and interactive technologies
  • Support staff and student devices (Windows 11, MS 365)
  • Manage user accounts across domains and cloud systems
  • Re-image machines and support onsite installations
  • Log and respond to tickets through the central service desk
  • Provide informal training/support to school staff when needed

Essential (Must Have):

  • Enhanced DBS with Barred List clearance
  • Previous experience working across schools or colleges
  • Proven experience in a 1st/2nd line IT support role
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Teams, Sharepoint, user setup)
  • Familiarity with Windows 11, laptops, printers, AV equipment
  • Experience with Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Hyper-V)
  • Basic understanding of networking (IP, patching, Switches)
  • Strong communication, time management and self-motivation
  • Ability to work independently across multiple school sites

Desirable

  • Previous IT support experience within a school or education setting
  • Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification
  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • Experience with device imaging tools
  • Ability to train/support non-technical users in a friendly, patient way
