We're recruiting for an experienced Mobile HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician to join an established commercial vehicle operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HGV Technician who enjoys working independently, diagnosing faults and keeping a commercial vehicle fleet safely on the road.
A company van can be provided, giving you the flexibility to attend vehicles and carry out repairs both on-site and at the roadside when required.
The RoleYou will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, diagnosis and repair of HGVs and commercial vehicles.
Duties will include:
- HGV servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- Routine preventative maintenance
- Brake, suspension and general mechanical repairs
- Preparing vehicles for MOT
- Attending breakdowns and carrying out roadside repairs
- Identifying defects and ensuring vehicles are repaired safely and efficiently
- Completing accurate maintenance and repair documentation
- Working closely with transport and operations teams to minimise vehicle downtime
We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic with:
- Minimum 3 years' HGV Technician experience
- Relevant HGV / mechanical qualification such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Good knowledge of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach
- Pride in delivering a high standard of workmanship
- £25.00 per hour
- Monday-Friday working
- Full-time permanent position
