About the Role

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are currently recruiting a Mobile Fabric Technician to join our on site facilities team.

This is a hands on role responsible for delivering high quality fabric maintenance across a client site, ensuring all reactive and planned works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with agreed service levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to reactive maintenance tasks within agreed SLAs
  • Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) within set timescales
  • Carry out fabric maintenance including floors, doors, ceilings, wall coverings, basic plumbing, and carpentry
  • Undertake minor project works as required
  • Complete point of work risk assessments and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
  • Liaise professionally with client representatives regarding maintenance and repair activities
  • Use a PDA/mobile device to log works, update tasks, and communicate effectively
  • Induct, permit, monitor, and chaperone subcontractors when required
  • Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with current legislation
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by the Contract Manager
What We're Looking For Essential:
  • Proven experience in fabric maintenance
  • Experience working in a heavy industrial or similar environment
  • City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent qualification in carpentry and/or plumbing
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures (COSHH, Working at Height, Risk Assessments, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions
  • Good IT skills and confidence using mobile/PDA systems
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to organise workload and manage materials effectively
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to participate in an on call rota (approximately 1 week in 4)
