The Vacancy

MOBILE ENGINEER Electrically Bias - Southeast

Here at Wates, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Mobile Engineer to join our Facilities Management mobile team supporting clients in the Southeast region.

The main objective is to carry out Planned Preventative Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance (PPM), as well as compliance tasks, including Reactive Maintenance and emergency works, in accordance with contract requirements on Electrical and Mechanical Services.

You will also participate in our call-out rota for the region.

To be successful in this role, you should ideally have:

  • Previous FM experience managing multiple sites
  • Strong electrical, mechanical, and plumbing experience
  • Electrical qualification such as NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent, and hold 18th edition
  • Good knowledge of plant rooms and daily building maintenance, including compliance tasks
  • Excellent record-keeping skills and computer literacy
Key Accountabilities
  • Ensure all work complies with legislation and contractual obligations
  • Utilise CAFM/PDA technology for real-time job updates and provide detailed reports
  • Respond promptly and effectively to reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests related to mechanical systems
  • Respond to call-outs, breakdowns, and emergencies involving electrical and mechanical services as required
