Salary: £12,791.50 - £12,994.20 per annum
Hours: 18.5 hours per week (based on 2.5 days a week, with occasional Saturdays for events)
Location: Mobile in Worcestershire (home base: Malvern Library)

The Role:
The role of the Outreach and Mobile Driver & Library Customer Advisor is diverse, exciting and no two days are the same. You will drive our new Electric Mobile & Outreach Library Hub across the county, providing outreach at community events, schools and supporting the regular Mobile Library Service. Your day may involve raising awareness of services at a community event, joining new members, visiting a school and leading activities such as a song or storytelling session for children.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering library services to a wide range of locations and audiences
- Maintaining the vehicle and ensuring it is ready for service each day
- Engaging with the public, answering queries and promoting library resources
- Recording visits and ensuring accurate reporting of service delivery
- Co ordinating with team members to plan and execute outreach events
Essential qualifications and attributes:
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, enthusiastic approach
- Experience working with people in retail, community, education, early years or library settings (background is beneficial but not mandatory)
- Good driving record on a standard vehicle with the ability to drive an electric mobile library vehicle
- Strong organisational and time management skills to meet scheduled appointments and event requirements
- Reliable, proactive and capable of working independently while remaining a team player
