Middleware Engineer

Dublin based, Middleware, ProductionSupport, Message Queues (IBM MQ/ RabbitMQ preferred), Linux, ITIL, CI/CD, PL/SQL. Any PCF, Groovy and Gitbucket are desirable.

You will be required to be in theirDublin office up to 2 times/ twice a week for meetings etc so this will requiresomeone local to Dublin.

They work across a variety ofindustries, including banking & financial services, insurance, retail,higher education, food, healthcare, and manufacturing.

• Engage in and improve the wholelifecycle of services - from inception and design, through deployment,operation, and refinement.
• Analyse ITSM activities of theplatform and provide feedback loop to development teams on operational gaps orresiliency concerns.
• Support services before they golive through activities such as system design consulting, capacity planning andlaunch reviews.
• Maintain services once they arelive by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall systemhealth with automated alerts.
• Scale systems sustainably throughmechanisms like automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes thatimprove reliability and velocity.
• Practice sustainable incidentresponse and detailed post mortems.
• Take a holistic approach toproblem solving, by connecting the dots during a production event through thevarious technology stack that makes up the platform, to optimize mean time torecover.
