We're looking for a Middleware Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team in El Prat de Llobregat, Barcelona to help us operate, secure, and evolve our datacenter platforms.
This is a hands-on role for someone with broad technical curiosity and a strong sense of ownership. If you enjoy working in collaborative environments where everyone gets involved, this might be your next move.
What will you do?
- Operate and troubleshoot infrastructure and middleware platforms.
- Act as a technical point of contact for developers, 3rd-party vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and evolve the entire datacenter stack: racks, servers, storage, communications, OS, databases, virtualization, authentication, and security.
- Propose improvements across technologies, processes, and tools.

- Interested in infrastructure as a whole: OS, virtualization, container orchestration (Kubernetes), SAN, etc.
Your technical foundation (2-3 years of hands-on experience in):
- High level of English (spoken and written)-you'll use it daily.
- Networking and firewall administration.
- Virtualization technologies (VMware, XEN).
- Shared storage systems (NetApp, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS, Fibre Channel).
- Backup and disaster recovery design and implementation (plus: IBM TSM).
- Monitoring systems (Nagios, Thruk, SNMP).
- Linux server administration (especially Red Hat) and scripting.
- AAA servers/services (external/centralized authentication such as RADIUS, LDAP).
- Database operations (SQL, RDBMS-especially Oracle).
- Familiarity with compliance standards (PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, ITIL).
- Experience with observability tools (Splunk and/or ELK).
- Strong knowledge of certificate-based security and PKI.
