Microbiology Analyst role to join the Nestle Quality Assurance Centre (NQAC) team in York.
Your ImpactSupport the completion of microbiology testing and services to provide a safe, accurate, reliable and efficient testing service to the Nestle Quality Assurance Centre, York customers. Work in a laboratory environment, routinely applying Good Laboratory Practices.
Responsibilities- Partake in relevant proficiency schemes.
- Assist in project and investigation work as required by the business.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Assist in cleaning duties and disposal of waste materials.
- Work to high standards of GLP to maintain ISO17025 accreditation and demonstrate ongoing competency through proficiency schemes.
- Relevant science HND/degree covering Biology, e.g., Food Science or Microbiology.
- Experience in laboratory testing environments, familiar with routine test methods.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Manage and prioritise workload in a fast paced environment.
- Previous experience of traditional food testing methods is a distinct advantage.
