Job Description
We are partnering with a medical device client in Sligo to recruit a Metrology Technician to join their team on a 12 month contract.
Responsibilities- Support the release of moulded components through accurate metrology and measurement analysis.
- Create and review dimensional inspection and metrology reports.
- Maintain, troubleshoot and improve metrology equipment and measurement systems.
- Develop, validate and qualify new measurement systems and equipment for new product introductions.
- Analyse measurement data using statistical techniques to support quality and process improvements.
- Produce and maintain metrology documentation, validation records and calibration procedures.
- Assess component drawings and provide feedback to improve inspection and manufacturability.
- Work closely with Engineering, R&D, suppliers and cross functional teams to deliver projects on time.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, calibration and data integrity standards, and support internal and external audits.
- Identify cost saving opportunities, manage metrology projects, and present progress updates to stakeholders.
- A minimum of an Ordinary Degree (Level 7) in Engineering or related discipline is required.
- 2 years' experience as a Metrology Technician or similar in combination products or a highly regulated industry.
