Metabolic Medicine Locum Consultant Required For Obesity Clinics Cover / Bariatric Patients

On behalf of the Centre for Obesity Management in West Midlands, I'm seeking an experienced Chemical Pathology Physician for a full-time ongoing locum contract.
This is an ongoing locum role.
The role involves:
- Outpatient services - diabetic clinics / bariatric patients
- Clinical Biochemistry Diagnostic Service
- Clinical trials, audits, quality improvement, teaching as needed
Ideal candidates will have FRCPath and MRCP, with experience in metabolic medicine, including:
- Drug treatments such as insulin and lipid-regulating drugs
- Enzyme replacement therapies for inherited metabolic diseases
- Bariatric surgery, e.g., gastric bypass
- Nutritional support via PEG or TPN
- Cardiovascular risk testing for high cholesterol patients
- Use of biologic treatments for cholesterol disorders
- Dynamic or stress tests for various conditions
Specialist accreditation is advantageous but not mandatory for relevant experience candidates.
