Meeting specialist for science conferences

Copernicus Meetings is your chance to be part of a great team organizing scientific conferences all over Europe attended by 500 to 20,000 participants from all over the world. We work in close collaboration with international, non-profit scientific member associations from the Earth and environmental sciences. Your tasks

  • serving abstract authors, session organizers, and programme committee members in their 1-year preparation of our conferences,
  • email and telephone support for these stakeholders who are users of our custom-developed online tools for the complex organization of the conference programme,
  • collaboration with and coordination of our technical suppliers (AV, IT, signage, exhibition constructions, catering),
  • on-site running of the conferences requiring 2-3 business trips of 1 week each as well as 1-2 short trips of 2-3 days each within Europe annually.

  • You speak and write English at an advanced level.
  • You have the ability to deal with dissatisfied customers.
  • You can withstand high stress levels around deadlines or during conferences.
  • You enjoy exchange with people from all around the world with diverse backgrounds.
  • You like to travel and find your way in unknown environments.
  • You are motivated and possess good organizational and time-management skills.
  • You are open-minded to learning new technologies.
  • You are a team player with the ability to take on your own responsibilities.
