Job title: Medical Field Team Leader - Immunology

Location: Remote/Field based

Reports to: Senior Director - Immunology

Role Overview:

The Medical Field Team Leader oversees daily operations of Medical Science Liaison and Medical Education Associates, managing capacity, personnel, projects, and cross-functional communication in the UK/ROI. This field-based role emphasizes development through regular interactions, coaching, field visits, and transparent feedback. The leader ensures staff compliance with laws, guidelines, and Lilly policies, and that deliverables meet quality, timeliness, and budget standards in alignment with medical leadership.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role includes supervising staff, managing operations, establishing effective communication and partnerships, planning with medical teams, and handling special projects. Responsibilities involve staff development, compliance, strategic planning, relationship building, and budget management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Advanced degree or strong background in medical affairs, healthcare, or clinical development.
  • Experience with MSL and MEA roles, and in a field/customer-facing environment.
  • Knowledge of compliance, ABPI code, and regulations.
  • Leadership skills in coaching, team development, and relationship building.
  • Strong knowledge of pharma industry, clinical development, and scientific communities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt in a dynamic environment.

Additional Preferences:

  • Previous field medical experience, especially in Immunology.
  • Managerial experience and ability to travel frequently within the UK.
