Mechanical Turnaround Lead: Shutdown Execution Expert

Occupli are supporting a leading industrial manufacturing organisation in the appointment of a Mechanical Turnaround Lead to support major shutdown and maintenance activities within a complex operational environment.

This role will suit an experienced mechanical professional with a strong background in turnaround/shutdown execution, maintenance coordination, and field leadership across heavy industrial or process manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical turnaround and shutdown activities from planning through execution and close-out
  
• Coordinate contractors, materials, tooling, and site resources
  
• Support scheduling, work-pack readiness, and execution planning
  
• Drive safe and efficient field execution across mechanical scopes
  
• Liaise with operations, maintenance, engineering, and external vendors
  
• Monitor progress, resolve execution issues, and support schedule delivery
  

Requirements

• Mechanical maintenance or turnaround leadership experience
  
• Background within pharma, chemical, energy, utilities, manufacturing, or heavy industry
  
• Strong contractor and stakeholder coordination skills
  
• Experience working within brownfield or live operational environments
  
• Ability to lead under tight shutdown schedules and changing priorities
