Mechanical/HVAC Technician (Shift) 
(6 OVER 7 Rotation shift)
Role PurposeCBRE Global Workplace Solutions, leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, are recruiting a Mechanical / H.V.A.C. Technician to join the team located in Dublin 1. To carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works to client Mechanical, Heating, ventilation & Air-Conditioning Systems in accordance with agreed service levels.
Primary Objectives and Tasks- This role is a rotational day shift position on site, covering 6 over 7 days Monday Saturday 7am - 7pm. Week 1 = 4 days Mon Thurs. Week 2 = 3 days Thurs Sat.
- HVAC & Mechanical maintenance Technician Onsite.
- After hours on call roster participation is required for this position, with transport and allowance available during your week on call.
- Be proficient with the onsite asset management system (REALM).
- Work closely with the Permit / Technical Administrator.
- Responsible for the correct operation of equipment and on time PPM maintenance tasks performed within the rotating shift teams and scheduled equipment availability.
- Take ownership of PPM schedule, repairs, and parts ordering and sourcing.
- Oversee vendor service and repair visits as point of contact and ensure tasks are completed to CBRE standards; review reports and highlight any issues for escalation and scheduled repairs.
- Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept in the form of "Frontline" task sheets and update log books associated with Mechanical & HVAC systems.
- Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
- Develop a good working relationship with all members of CBRE Managed Services staff and client staff.
- Hands on service and repairs work with a view to mentoring junior technicians and non technical staff.
- Work closely with Facilities team in dealing with client requests / work orders for timely close out and resolution of issues relating to Mechanical & HVAC systems.
- Ensure a professional image of CBRE Managed Services is presented to clients and visitors, and deliver and promote excellence in customer service at all times.
- Maintain professional and technical skills through a commitment to personal development and lifelong learning.
- Adopt a flexible approach for the consistent and high standard of service CBRE provides.
- Sometimes technical upskill will be required for on site equipment such as BMS, fire alarm lighting controls and various operational systems and devices.
- Accountable to Contract Engineering Manager.
- Operate as system champion for assigned responsible equipment within your scope and understanding.
- The post holder does not have any directly reporting staff.
- This post carries no direct budgetary responsibility.
Trade qualified Mechanical or Refrigeration technician, must have good written and spoken English and basic PC skills.
Full clean driver's licence.
Training- Formally trained in mechanical building services & HVAC maintenance.
- Basic skills of building management control systems is an advantage (BMS).
- Formal health and safety understanding - training (Desirable).
- Experience maintaining pumps, motors, AHU's, FCU's heating and cooling systems.
- Experience operating and using maintenance CMMS & BMS systems.
- Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations with regard to maintenance activities and on site logbooks (Desirable).
- Working knowledge of statutory and regulatory equipment and testing requirements (Desirable).
- Maintenance level electrical competency (Required).
- F Gas certification (Distinct advantage).
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Good written English skills.
- Ability to read, write and understand operating manuals, SOPs, MOPs and detailed reports.

- Calm manner, ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to make sound decisions when needed.
- Physically fit and able to carry tools and components by hand up to 20 kg.
- Ability to ascend and descend vertical access equipment, stair cases, vertical ladders, etc.
- Ability to work at heights and at roof levels and from ladders & M.E.W.P. s.
- A team player, able to work with CBRE Managed Services and client staff of all levels.
- Full clean driver's licence for use of company van or access to own vehicle for out of hours call outs.
- Able to attend the site location within one hour of notification to participate in out of hours rostered stand by and call out procedures.
