Role Responsibilities This position will be part of the UK & Ireland Airports team, responsible for developing local knowledge systems and building site expertise. Initially, the successful candidate will support operations at Manchester Airport and contribute to bids for other regional airports in the future.The role involves extensive customer and supplier engagement, with on-site presence required as needed. Occasional travel to other Vanderlande locations within the UK may also be necessary.Your responsibilities and activities will be: Act as a Mechanical/Layout/Project Engineer with a degree or HND qualification and at least 2 years of experience in automated material handling systems (e.g., baggage, parcel, warehouse, conveyor). Proficient in 2D and 3D AutoCAD; experience with Navisworks (Clash Detection), Revit, and BIM is advantageous.Possess strong equipment knowledge to produce accurate specifications.Apply knowledge of machinery safety standards to support operation and maintenance. Work independently or collaboratively, taking ownership of design responsibilities. Commit to continuous improvement of personal skills, processes, policies, and procedures. Role Qualification and Skills Strong understanding of design standards and safety requirements; working knowledge of the Machinery Directive preferred.
