Job Title - Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor
Location - Huntstown Power Station, Dublin.
Contract - Permanent Full Time
Working Hours - 39 hours Monday to Friday
Closing Date - 30th April 2026
About the Role
Reporting to our Mechanical Contracts Manager, this role will be responsible for the maintenance of mechanical equipment within the CCGT Plant in a safe and efficient manner. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate and apply effective problem solving, diagnostic and fault-finding skills within the plant.
We are looking for a technical expert who can collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders to enable the team to deliver objectives. We want someone with a passion for the energy industry and a desire to contribute to the success of our plants, being the most flexible and reliable on the grid.

Responsibilities
Day-to-day, here's what your new role would look like:
Safety & Compliance
- Provide Health, Safety and Environmental leadership, promoting a professional safety culture within the power station team.
- Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in line with company safety policies, permit-to-work systems and any technical OEM requirements.
- Ensure all contractors under your supervision maintain high standards in relation to our safety rules, review contractor RAMs and ensure they are properly trained and follow safe working practices.
- Ensure that only approved equipment is used where required, and this equipment is examined, maintained and tested to the appropriate standards.
- Support continuous improvement activities in Asset Management in line with ISO 55001 standards.
Maintenance Activities
- Maintain site equipment in an effective manner thereby maximizing the combined cycle gas turbine reliability, availability, and efficiency.
- Support planned, reactive and preventative maintenance activities across mechanical plant and equipment.
- Develop and review detailed technical reports and maintenance procedures for internal and external audiences.
- Assist in developing maintenance strategies to forecast and plan plant maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records within the CMMS.
- Collaborate effectively with our Operations team to ensure effective delivery of plant maintenance activities.
- Provide support to plant projects as required.
Contractor Management
- Implement effective procurement procedures when procuring plant equipment and services.
- Work within budgets for all services, materials and equipment contracts.
- Supervise and coordinate contractors to ensure safe, compliant and high-quality delivery.
- Ensure we meet all statutory duties in relation to our mechanical duties.
- Due to the nature of the role, it will be necessary to be available outside of normal working hours from time to time.
About you
Key Criteria - What You'll Need
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or a time served apprenticeship with equivalent experience.
- Experience managing contractors and/or maintenance activities, preferably in a CCGT power station environment.
- Demonstrable experience of working and collaborating as part of a successful project team.
- Experience of communicating (written & verbal) technical reports to internal or external stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and safe systems of work

- Experience of working in a CCGT power station environment
- Experience of being involved in the planning and/or execution of power station outages or overhauls.
