Job Description

We are seeking individuals with well-rounded knowledge of building services systems and who has worked in a consultancy role on international projects before.

JOB ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary engineering company in Dublin. The position would suit a motivated and adaptable individual looking to progress their career in a progressive and innovative design consultancy.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Strong technical ability and good understanding of current engineering standards (Building Regulations, CIBSE/BSRIA Guides, IS / EN Standards).
  • Experience in the design and specification of mechanical / building services systems (drainage, water services, heating, cooling, ventilation and controls).
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of an engineering team.
  • Minimum Third level degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
  • Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • 3 years+ experience in a similar role.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
  • Engineering design and management of tasks on projects as part of an integrated project team.
  • Design and specification of mechanical engineering solutions to current regulations and design standards.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE ASSISTING WITH THE FOLLOWING
  • Working directly with clients to define project requirements and develop technical solutions.
  • Working as part of a project design team.
  • Pre-construction engineering activities including coordination of services and production of information (tender drawings, schematics, specifications and equipment details).
  • Monitoring and management of projects during construction including site inspections, technical submittals and RFI's.
