Mechanical Mechanic Contract: 12 Months Based: RAF Marham Hourly Rate: £ Hours: 37 hours Onsite: Monday - Thursday Core hours: 07:15 - 17:00 Role may involve shift work, including:

• Days: 07:15 - 17:00 (Mon-Thurs)
• Nights: 16:00 - 02:00 (Mon-Thurs)

BAE Systems is seeking a Mechanical Mechanic to support F-35 aircraft maintenance activities. Reporting to the F-35 Aircraft Maintenance Manager, you will undertake a range of maintenance tasks on F-35 aircraft and/or aircraft components in line with approved technical information and organisational procedures.Skills:

• Minimum 2 years' experience working within EASA/MRP Part 145.
• Experience working on complex military aircraft programmes
• Minimum City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance (or equivalent)

The Job

• Carry out aircraft and component maintenance in accordance with Approved Technical Information, risk assessments and the organisation's MOE.
• Complete maintenance instructions and schedules for planned and unplanned tasks.
• Perform tasks including inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectification, component removal/replacement and functional/system testing.
• Ensure all work is correctly documented and that airworthiness records are maintained.
• Compile reports, identify issues and escalate where required.
• Comply with all company procedures, standards and safety requirements.
