About the Role:
A well-regarded secondary school in Southampton is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join their vibrant team immediately after the May half-term break. This is a full-time teaching role, continuing until the end of the academic year, with a strong possibility of extension from September 2025.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students find the formula for success both in exams and beyond!
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.

Assess, record, and report on students' progress, providing regular feedback to drive improvement.

Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where all students feel valued.

Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources and share best practices.

Uphold high standards of classroom management and student behaviour.

Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and professional development opportunities.

Essential Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - this is non-negotiable (like maths homework!).

Experience teaching Maths at secondary school level.

Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to safeguarding.

A genuine passion for mathematics and inspiring students.

A flexible, forward-thinking approach - ready to adapt and grow with the role.
