Maths Progress Coach

Cheshire Area Up to £30,097 FTE Full-time (37 hours per week) Fixed-term until July 2027

Reed Further Education are working in partnership with a highly supportive and forward-thinking Further Education provider to recruit a Maths Skills Build Specialist Teacher.

You will play a key role in helping students succeed in GCSE and Functional Skills Maths, delivering targeted interventions and innovative teaching strategies to drive progress and achievement.

The Role

As a Maths Skills Build Specialist Teacher, you will:

  • Inspire and motivate learners to achieve their full potential and progress into further study or employment
  • Plan and deliver engaging, targeted maths interventions for individuals and small groups
  • Support students to develop core numeracy skills, exam techniques, and subject knowledge
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum, safeguarding, and support teams to remove barriers to learning
  • Deliver high-quality maths sessions, including occasional cover teaching for GCSE and Functional Skills

About You

We are looking for a passionate and committed individual who:

  • Holds a degree in Maths or a related subject
  • Has knowledge of GCSE and Functional Skills Maths delivery
  • Understands SEND and inclusive learning approaches
  • Can build strong, supportive relationships with learners

All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years' referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed.
