Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Maths Lecturer to join a college in Hull, with a start date as soon as possible.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator with a strong background in Mathematics to inspire and support students in developing their mathematical knowledge, confidence and problem-solving skills, while helping them achieve their academic and career goals.
Position: Maths Lecturer
Location: Hull
Start date: As soon as possible
Hours: Part time, 17.5 hours per week
Pay: £20-£35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Contract: Part-time booking
Key Responsibilities- Planning and delivering engaging and effective Maths lessons.
- Teaching students across a range of levels and abilities.
- Delivering lessons covering relevant areas of Mathematics, including numeracy, algebra, geometry, statistics and problem-solving.
- Preparing students for examinations, assessments and coursework.
- Supporting learners to develop confidence and competence in their mathematical abilities.
- Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback to support achievement and progression.
- Monitoring and recording student progress, attendance and achievement.
- Creating an inclusive, supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Differentiating lessons and learning materials to meet the needs of individual students.
- Supporting students with their academic, personal and professional development.
- Helping learners understand the practical application of Mathematics within further education, employment and everyday life.
- Encouraging students to develop logical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider college team.
- Ensuring teaching and learning meets relevant curriculum and awarding-body requirements.
- An up-to-date DBS.
- At least a Level 3 qualification in Mathematics or a relevant subject.
- A recognised PGCE or Cert Ed.
- Relevant teaching experience within Further Education or a similar educational setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills.
- Effective classroom management skills.
- A genuine passion for education and supporting students to achieve their potential.
- Have experience working within schools in the UK
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- CV must cover the full CV History
- Legal right to work in the UK
