We re recruiting Maths and English Tutors to deliver high-impact GCSE resit tuition in Manchester. Whether you're an experienced educator ready to lead, or an aspiring tutor passionate about supporting students, we have a role for you.
Locations:In-person at partner campuses near Manchester- this includes Wirral Metropolitan College at CH416RN and Reaseheath College at CW56DF (travel to both will not be required in the same day).
and/orIn-person at our partner campuses in Manchester- this includes Hopwood Hall at Middleton (M24 6XH) and Rochdale (OL12 6RY).
Flex Tutor (Maths or English)
Contract: Hourly, flexible until May 2026
Hours: 0 15 hours/week consistent weekly slot(s) based on your availability
Salary: £18/hour + holiday pay
Start: Offered sessions from September 2025 Tuition begins October 2025
Closing Date: Friday 25th July, 5pm (may close earlier if filled)
What You ll Do- Deliver small-group tuition (1 3 students) in GCSE maths or English using our structured curriculum.
- Build student confidence and skills in short, high-impact weekly sessions (1 1.5 hours).
- Use our fully resourced lessons no planning required.
- £18/hour + holiday pay.
- 2 full days of paid training.
- Weekly hours based on your availability.
- Fully resourced lessons no prep required.
- Ongoing development and access to our supportive Tutor Academy.
- Opportunities to progress within education or the charity sector.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Minimum Grade C/4 in GCSE English and maths.
- A-level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject at grade B or above.
- Minimum 2:2 degree (or currently studying toward one).
- Availability for at least 2 hours/week for 15 weeks.
- Commitment to 2 full days of paid training.
- Travel to Hartlepool campus (or online-ready, depending on availability).
Contract: Fixed-term until May 2026
Hours: Minimum 15 hours/week (part-time or full-time). Must be available Fridays 11am 12pm Salary: £23,600 £24,000 (pro rata; based on 37.5 hrs/week incl. £2,000 London weighting where applicable)
Start: Training from August September 2025 Tuition from September October 2025

What You ll Do- Deliver small-group tuition (1 3 students) in GCSE maths or English using our ready-to-go resources ( 80% of role).
- Mentor and support Flex Tutors through peer coaching and session observations.
- Contribute to tutor training and help improve delivery materials.
- Track student progress and attendance.
- Champion a positive, high-impact learning environment.
- £23.6k £24k salary (pro rata).
- 36 days annual leave (incl. bank holidays, pro rata).

- Minimum Grade C/4 in GCSE English and maths

- Undergraduate degree (2:1 or strong 2:2 considered)
- At least 3 months tutoring/teaching experience
- Minimum 15 hours/week availability + Fridays 11am 12pm
