Teach Now is recruiting an ambitious Mathematics Teacher for a successful secondary school in Barnet.

The school is seeking a Mathematics Teacher who can make challenging concepts accessible and help students develop confidence, accuracy and problem-solving skills. You will teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of KS5 teaching depending on experience.

You will join a collaborative department with shared resources, established schemes of work and a clear focus on raising achievement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering engaging Mathematics lessons
  • Teaching across KS3 and KS4
  • Preparing students effectively for GCSE examinations
  • Using assessment to identify gaps and inform future teaching
  • Providing suitable support and challenge for all learners
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and presentation
  • Contributing to departmental planning and moderation
  • Supporting revision, intervention and enrichment activities
Requirements

Candidates must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Recent experience teaching Mathematics in a UK secondary school
  • Secure subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  • An understanding of current GCSE Mathematics requirements
  • Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills
  • Effective planning, assessment and communication
  • Availability for the full duration of the placement
