Marketplace Manager - UK (Hybrid, 2 Days/Week in London Office)
Description PetLab Co. is the world leader in the DTC pet supplement market with 50%+ market share, 9-figure revenue, and rapidly growing globally.
We are looking for a dynamic, mid-level Marketplace Manager to join our fast-paced Growth team. In this role, you'll work across our most important online retail channels: Amazon, Walmart, and Chewy, to deliver growth, optimise performance, and elevate operational excellence. You'll partner with key stakeholders across marketing, operations, customer service, and leadership to execute strategy, launch new initiatives, and ensure a seamless brand presence on all marketplace platforms.
We're looking for someone highly analytical, commercially driven, and obsessed with testing and learning. You'll be instrumental in helping PetLab Co. become a category-defining brand across third-party marketplaces.
Key responsibilities include:
Driving sales performance through strategic marketplace optimisation
Leading A/B testing and CRO experiments to enhance performance
Managing projects aligned with marketplace growth and execution
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver unified go-to-market experiences
Leveraging data to identify opportunities and make informed decisions
Serving as the main point of contact with marketplace reps to strengthen partnerships
Who Will You Report Into?
Hi, I'm Tom Abbott, Head of Marketplaces at PetLab Co. As we expand our brand presence globally, this role is critical to driving our performance across leading marketplaces like Amazon, Chewy, and Walmart.
You'll work closely with me on executing marketplace strategy, building relationships with key partners, and optimising channel performance. I'm looking for someone who's hungry to learn, unafraid to dive deep into data, and proactive in solving problems. Ideal Candidate Profile
2+ years of experience managing marketplaces (Amazon required) for a DTC brand, agency, or startup
Hands-on knowledge of retail media, Amazon Seller Central or Vendor Central
Strong analytical mindset; confident in interpreting performance data and making optimisation decisions
Comfortable running CRO tests and analysing metrics
Highly organised with experience managing multiple projects, deadlines and initiatives
Entrepreneurial spirit and a growth mindset & thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced environments
Passion for pets and a love for driving results

Responsibilities Breakdown
- 30% Strategy & Optimisation - Owning channel performance metrics, analysing sales data, and proposing tests to improve KPIs, including driving external traffic to the channel
- 25% Execution & Operations - Managing listings, product updates, and campaign rollouts across platforms
- 20% Data & Reporting - Monitoring dashboards, performance trends, and competitor activity
- 15% Relationship Management - Acting as liaison with Amazon, Chewy, and Walmart reps, ensuring best-in-class partner support
- 10% Cross-functional Collaboration - Working with creative, customer service, and logistics teams to drive coordinated marketplace performance
Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience in marketplace/eCommerce roles, with strong exposure to Amazon
Experience in DTC, subscriptions, or performance marketing environments
Comfortable in a hybrid setup, working 2 days/week in our London HQ
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven problem-solver with strong attention to detail
Project management capability - experience juggling multiple initiatives simultaneously
