Marketing & Mall Income Manager - Shopping Centre

Savills Portugal, a leading player in the national market, is strengthening its team with the integration of a Marketing & Mall Income Manager for a Shopping Centre.
Reporting directly to the Shopping Centre General Manager, this professional will be responsible for leading marketing, communication, advertising, digital strategy, and mall income (specialty leasing & branded events), with the objective of strengthening the centre's brand, increasing its commercial value, and enhancing the overall visitor experience.

Key tasks/activities:
Marketing & Communication
- Team Leadership: Lead, coordinate and develop the marketing team, fostering skills development and ensuring alignment with the shopping centre's strategic objectives.
- Strategic Planning: Design, implement and continuously update the annual marketing and communication plan (online and offline), ensuring alignment with commercial goals and brand positioning.
- Budget Management: Define, manage and control the annual marketing budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and monitoring return on investment (ROI).
- Agencies & Suppliers Management: Coordinate and supervise relationships with advertising, communication, design, digital media agencies and event suppliers.
- Social Media & Online Reputation: Define and execute the centre's digital and social media strategy (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.), including content planning, promotional campaigns, digital customer service and performance analysis (engagement, reach, conversion).
- Influencer Marketing: Identify and manage partnerships with local influencers and content creators to amplify campaigns and reach new audiences.
- Press & Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with generalist, sectorial and specialised media to ensure continuous and positive coverage of the shopping centre.
- Tenant & Visitor Engagement: Establish effective communication channels with tenants and visitors, promoting participation, loyalty and satisfaction.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Work closely with the Centre Management in the analysis of sales, footfall and consumer behaviour, using Business Intelligence tools to support data driven decision making.
- Content & Brand Management: Ensure that all digital, printed and advertising materials comply with the brand's visual identity and values.
- Market Research: Design and implement market studies, satisfaction surveys, focus groups and competitor analysis to better understand customer needs and market positioning.
- Digital Optimisation: Manage and continuously improve the shopping centre's website as a key communication and acquisition tool, ensuring content updates, usability and SEO performance.
- Innovation & Trends: Monitor retail, leisure and consumer trends, as well as competitor activity, proposing innovative initiatives to keep the shopping centre as a market reference.
- Events & Experiences: Design and coordinate experiential events, themed campaigns and sensory marketing actions aimed at increasing footfall, visibility and emotional connection with visitors.
Mall Income Specialty Leasing & Branded Events
- Specialty Leasing Strategy: Design, implement and execute the shopping centre's specialty leasing strategy, optimising the commercial use of common areas.
- Budget & Performance Control: Prepare, manage and monitor the annual budget for common areas, analysing deviations and financial performance.
- Commercial Development: Develop commercial actions to attract new clients for temporary formats (pop ups, kiosks, stands, branded events and experiential activations).
- Tenant Mix Enhancement: Collaborate closely with the leasing team to enrich and complement the permanent tenant mix through attractive temporary concepts and differentiated value propositions.
- Retail Innovation: Identify new experiential retail trends, alternative commercial opportunities and emerging formats, supporting the opening of new revenue channels.
- Contract & Legal Management: Manage contracts and all legal documentation related to specialty leasing and branded events operations.
- KPIs & Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (occupancy, profitability, ROI, commercial performance, etc.) and prepare detailed monthly reports.
Requirements, Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Marketing, Communication, Management or a related field;
- Proven experience in marketing roles, preferably within shopping centres, retail, leisure or related sectors;
- Previous experience in team leadership and multidisciplinary project management;
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, social media management, SEO and data analysis;
- Experience in budget management, commercial performance analysis and ROI evaluation;
- Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills;
- Commercial mindset with a strong orientation towards results and innovation;
- Proactive, responsible and highly adaptable professional profile.
