The Role

Working closely with the Head of Services and Operations, you will provide both strategic direction and hands-on delivery across all marketing and communications activity.

As the organisation embarks on its new five-year strategy, you will play a central role in ensuring clear, consistent and purposeful communication with members, partners and wider audiences.

In the early stages, you'll focus on reviewing existing activity, identifying priorities and implementing effective frameworks and processes. As this position operates through collaboration and influence rather than formal authority, it will suit someone confident working across teams, committees and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit existing communications channels, tools and processes to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Establish messaging frameworks, tone of voice and communication principles

  • Lead strategic member engagement initiatives, particularly during periods of organisational change

  • Manage social media activity in line with strategic goals
  • Act as first point of contact for media enquiries
  • Collaborate closely with events, membership and publications colleagues to deliver integrated campaigns
  • Develop KPIs and evaluation frameworks to drive insight and continuous improvement

About You

You are comfortable setting strategic direction while remaining hands-on in delivery. You thrive on influence rather than hierarchy and bring the confidence to work effectively with senior stakeholders, committees and cross-functional teams.

This is a permanent, part-time role (21-25 hours per week), paying £38,000 FTE, it support hybrid working and is set within a supportive, collaborative and purpose-driven team culture.
