Job Description

MCS Group is proud to be partnering with a leading manufacturing client in Larne to recruit two Manufacturing Engineers on a temporary contract, starting asap. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced engineers looking to take the next step in their career with a well established organisation, all while benefiting from a 4-day work week.

About the Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a vital role in delivering engineering excellence across manufacturing systems and operations. You'll provide technical expertise to design, develop, and implement innovative production processes, helping to drive operational efficiency and meet customer specifications.

This is a hands-on engineering position where you will manage and support projects across New Product Introduction (NPI), process improvements, equipment selection, and lean manufacturing initiatives. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and be given the autonomy to solve complex engineering problems.

What You'll Bring:

  • A degree in an engineering or equivalent discipline, or higher level qualification and relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience working with manufacturing processes, equipment and automation technologies
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, hands-on approach to challenges
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams
