Manufacturing Engineer
Executes tactical manufacturing engineering responsibilities with a strong focus on delivery, demonstrating expertise in engineering systems, tools, and materials; supports continuous improvement across products, processes, and procedures; implements standardized and frequently updated manufacturing processes; effectively exchanges technical data and insights with stakeholders; and leads a small manufacturing unit or a component of a larger operation with a budget exceeding $1.5 million, while maintaining a high energy and change driven mindset.
Responsibilities- Documentation Generation - Interoperate engineering designs to create manufacturing procedures for the build and test of products. Implement lean practices to reduce waste from the build process with a view to reducing product lead time and cost.
- Creation of Documentation Packages - Source and print all required documents for jobs that are soon commencing, compile them into document packages for use in the workshop, monitor packets in circulation, update documents within packets when revisions or changes are required, and drive digitisation of all documentation packages on site.
- Routing - Create master routings for new parts, including all required instructions and details with hours estimations based on previous performance of similar operations. Alter routings on active work orders where required, for deviation of scope to other work orders or where change of scope is needed. Notify the PC when any OSP/OPs are added for purchase orders to be raised. Route NSWOs where required for multiple reasons, including repeat NSWOs and rework.
- Tracking - Monitor hours booked to jobs to ensure no issues arise, communicate with department lead hands to ensure correct booking, and, based on findings, adjust allocated hours where needed to reduce the direct hours taken to complete jobs.
- Improvements - Discuss with colleagues to find possible improvements in processes or systems, implement these changes within a reasonable time, and document and record improvements when used as CI projects.
- Support - Provide general support to MEs, such as printing documentation packages and providing information, and complete work for other departments (e.g., OSP machining routings).
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with strong experience in manufacturing).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
