Main Responsibilities- Contribute to the development of CAPEX projects worth several million USD. Under the guidance of senior manufacturing engineers, develop concepts, produce designs, obtain quotes, create project schedules, and perform safety assessments.
- Support the execution of CAPEX projects, engaging with suppliers and contractors to deliver project outcomes safely, on schedule, and within budget. Participate in internal project meetings, track spend and schedules, prepare engineering management reports, and conduct post-project reviews to assess effectiveness.
- Assist in executing a portfolio of continuous improvement projects (CIP), generated proactively by the engineering team using tools like digital twin, complex factory simulations, manufacturing systems, and IT integration.
- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for manufacturing and digital technology teams, ensuring requirements are robust, resource plans are in place, and local supply chains and vendors are onboarded to facilitate the successful introduction of new manufacturing and digital technologies.
- Participate in regular priority alignment and performance reviews with regional STC operational and innovation teams.
- Understand and validate the benefits of future technologies against business cases, coordinating with the business controller on their impact on the STC balance sheet.
- Implement internal directives, such as Service Information Bulletins issued by global teams, to address quality or operational issues.
- Support Vacuum Technique Production System (VTPS) and ensure alignment of future technologies with its principles.
- Manage the STC Permit and Engineering Change applications for submission to the internal change control council on behalf of the innovation team.
- Conduct engineering audits to identify and address deviations from published standards.
- Manage personal continuous development through structured planning, reviews, and relevant training programs.
- A degree in an engineering discipline is desirable.
- Experience managing external stakeholders including suppliers and contractors.
- High customer focus with strong communication skills to understand and fulfill client needs.
- Ability to operate effectively from shop floor to management level.
- Strong organizational awareness, influencing skills, and experience delivering results without direct authority.
- Experience managing various project types.
- Fluent in English, capable of technical discussions.
- Commitment to continuous personal development.
- Flexible working pattern to collaborate with global teams.
- Knowledge of high-accuracy mechanical system design and manufacturing is preferred.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, quality tools (e.g., Kaizen, VSM, PFMEA), safety management tools, and proficiency with engineering software such as Fuson, MS Project, O365, FlexSim, MRCL, PPAP.
