Job Description

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking Manual Testing Analysts to work for our client within the Information Technology and Services sector. This is initially a 3-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a remote role.

Our client is looking for an experienced Manual Test Analyst with a strong background in general insurance particularly home or Motor insurance. The ideal candidate will be confident in executing tests systematically, identifying defects, and validating XML data. You'll be supporting two key projects involving both Front End and Back End testing of an Insurance Policy Management System.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver test support across two concurrent projects: Front End testing of an Insurance Policy Management System and Back End testing focused on insurance product model and XML data validation
  • Execute test scripts and report results using Azure DevOps
  • Validate a wide range of features including product UI, data processing, payments processing and XML data transfer
  • Raise, track, and manage defects through to resolution
  • Collaborate remotely with a squad of 4-6 testers in an Agile environment as well as with Developers and Business Analysts
  • Maintain detailed and clear test plans and execution logs
  • Implement current knowledge in home and motor Insurance, validating business workflows while identifying and tracking issues using accurate tools

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in end-to-end manual testing, including test execution and defect management
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for test and defect management
  • Proficient in defect life cycle management, re-testing, and regression testing
  • Comfortable working with and validating XML data, files, and responses
  • Solid grasp of SDLC and Agile/Scrum frameworks
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment

Desirable:

  • Experience in General Insurance, particularly Home or Motor Insurance
  • ISTQB or equivalent certification
  • Experience with test automation tools (even if not the primary focus)
  • Familiarity with API testing and data validation tools
