At Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, our Production Software team helps manufacturers improve productivity through CAD/CAM solutions used every day on the shop floor. Our production machining portfolio supports customers from programming through to efficient, reliable machining-backed by a collaborative, international team across Europe and beyond.
We are growing and are looking for a Manager Production Machining Support & Service (m/w/d) - UK & Ireland. In this role, you will lead a team of application engineers delivering after sales support and services for our production machining products (including Edgecam, ESPRIT Edge, NCSIMUL and Designer). You'll balance technical understanding with strong people leadership, partner closely with Sales and other teams, and help ensure our customers receive consistent, high quality outcomes. Remote work is possible, with occasional travel (approx. 10-20%).
Job ResponsibilitiesAs the Manager, Production Machining Support & Service (UK & Ireland), you will lead a team of application engineers delivering after sales support and services for our Production Machining portfolio (including Edgecam, ESPRIT/ESPRIT Edge, NCSIMUL and Designer). You will collaborate closely with Sales, Pre Sales and wider European teams to ensure customers receive high quality technical support, training and consultancy.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of application engineers (support & services) and drive a positive, high performing team culture
- Plan and manage the delivery of customer support and service activities (e.g., consultancy, training, post processors), ensuring quality, responsiveness and clear prioritization
- Act as an escalation point for complex customer situations, coordinating resources across teams and regions to reach timely resolutions
- Partner with Sales and Pre Sales to support technical customer engagement, including assisting with demonstrations and ensuring strong technical alignment
- Balance operational needs with people leadership, setting expectations, monitoring progress and enabling the team to meet business commitments
- Build strong working relationships with European stakeholders to share knowledge, align processes and leverage expertise across the organization
- Travel to customer sites as needed (typically 10-20%) to support service delivery, customer relationships and team effectiveness
- Technical background in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Experience leading and developing a technical customer facing team (people management experience welcome, but not mandatory for the right profile)
- Strong understanding of CAD/CAM and production machining processes; exposure to milling, turning and mill turn is highly desirable
- Experience working in application engineering, support/service delivery, training or consultancy in an after sales environment
- Commercial awareness and the ability to balance customer expectations, delivery timelines and business priorities
- Confident stakeholder management and collaboration skills across Sales, Pre Sales and international teams
- Strong communication and relationship building skills, with a clear and respectful leadership style
- Analytical, solution oriented mindset with the ability to assess issues, align the right experts and drive resolution
- Comfortable operating in an international environment; fluent English required (additional European languages are a plus)
- Willingness to travel approximately 10-20% to support customers and team needs across the region (primarily UK & Ireland)
