Job Description
Overview

Amazon is seeking a Manager FinOps AP to oversee service delivery of Accounts Payable/Receivable functions for a specific geo/country. This role partners with Finance Shared Service Organization stakeholders and the business to deliver high accuracy, timely services with strong controllership while supporting growth. The manager will lead a team of 25 resources, providing leadership and direction, and will require strong business modeling, attention to detail, and effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders. The role involves regular interaction with senior leadership and requires strong verbal and written communication, autonomy, and a proven track record in hiring, developing and retaining talent.

Key responsibilities
  1. Performs autonomously, initiates and manages complex, departmental and/or cross-company work.
  2. Manages group workload and establishes priorities.
  3. Sets and improves policies and procedures, maintains full compliance, and implements best practices.
  4. Acts as a consultant or lead on projects and areas of finance or business support.
  5. Serves as an escalation point in resolving complex outstanding issues with internal and external partners.
  6. Participates in recruiting efforts and continually raises the bar.
  7. Plays a significant role in the career development of the team.
  8. Drives the execution of the team's vision and goals.
  9. Develops and communicates the team or department vision and goals.
Basic Qualifications
  • 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experience
  • 4+ years applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
  • 4+ years building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
  • 4+ years creating process improvements with automation and analysis
  • 3+ years directly managing and leading a team of 3+ members
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
  • 4+ years identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying root causes, and creating/implementing escalation plans
