About the RoleWith the leadership and support of the Senior Director 3rd Party Logistics, and in close partnership with our regional fulfilment leadership teams, the Manager owns the relationships with our 3rd party partners and effectively builds capabilities with our outsourced distribution center partners to maximize results and to ensure our partners operate according to our operating procedures/requirements and do so within agreed SLA's and budget. At the same time the 3rd party distribution manager brings learnings from our regional partners back into our global organization (and vice versa) and drives synergies between and across our global partners. You'll play a pivotal role in connecting internal and external capabilities and will act as the first go-to person for our 3PL Distribution partners for any questions outside of the daily operation of our distribution centres.
A Day in the Life- Drive and coordinate the preparation of and participate in monthly/quarterly and annual performance reviews with our 3rd party DC partner
- Lead the creation, documentation and review of standard operating procedures (SOP's) with our partners to ensure operating processes are clear and documented
- Develop and document appropriate internal processes that promote budget monitoring capabilities and create synergies between our different partners
- Support the regional fulfilment leadership team in timely processing of accruals and provide insights to help explain potential variance to budget, if any
- Lead the creation of and annual revision process of our SLA's in close coordination with our regional distribution leadership (stakeholders) and act as the first go-to person for our partners when it comes to rate and/or contract reviews associated
- Lead RFP/RFI process for new partner selections in close partnership with our procurement and regional leadership teams
- Own the creation and maintenance of the contract and SLA repository for your region
- Support with the creation of lululemon's third party distribution short and long term strategy for the region
- Coordinate between legal, procurement and other internal stakeholders to ensure contract/rates/sla's and compliance metrics are tailored to your region while making sure they remain aligned globally
- Coordinate and drive key initiatives between internal stakeholders and our 3rd party DC teams that drive enhanced capabilities, throughput, and ultimately increase guest experience
- Lead regular service level requirement reviews with key stakeholders, and ensure these are embedded into SLA's, processes and/or performance reviews with our partner(s)
- Partner with global teams and regional leaders to drive the continuous improvement program to improve 3rd party DC performance
- Advise cross functional partners on the 3rd party DC's capabilities, constraints, and workarounds by summarizing performance expectations from 3rd party DC partners and providing qualitative and quantitative feedback to internal stakeholders
- Support the regional distribution leadership for effective management of the service level agreement with the 3rd party DC partners by owning alignment of data integrations that support our internal reporting platforms
- Business administration, operations management, supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, or equivalent training desired
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a manager in distribution operations preferably for a multi-channel retailer or like-minded industry brand
- Minimum of 3 years experience in managing 3rd party logistics provider(s) in a fast-paced and fast-growing environment
- Clear communications skills to inspire, motivate and provide cross-functional leadership
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft office applications, familiar with WMS software applications and retail systems)
- Sound responsive analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to think "outside of the box," enjoys challenges and is solutions-oriented
- Capable (and willing) to travel on a regular basis between multiple country destinations to support business needs, countries where you are expected are UK, Netherlands and Germany
- Ability to communicate, negotiate and operate in English language is required.
