LOCATION: Bonnybridge, Falkirk, Scotland - This is an on-site role with no hybrid working available

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with some flexibility regarding start and finish times.
JOB OVERVIEWThis is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to join the organisation as a Management Accountant and play a key role in supporting business performance, process improvement and informed decision-making.
As the Management Accountant you will work closely with senior management and colleagues across Finance, Production and Purchasing, providing accurate financial information, useful business insight and practical support for operational improvements.
The Management Accountant will also be involved in the implementation of a new ERP system, helping to develop and embed effective costing processes that support sound commercial decisions across the organisation.
DUTIES- ERP Costing Implementation: Play a leading role in the design and implementation of the costing module within a new ERP system
- Business Performance Analysis: Analyse performance and provide meaningful financial insight to support management decision-making
- Project Appraisals: Prepare project appraisals and capital expenditure evaluations
- Cost and Margin Monitoring: Monitor and analyse production costs, product margins and inventory valuations
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
- Cost Reduction: Identify and drive cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
- Financial Controls: Ensure financial controls, systems and processes are maintained, enhanced and effectively applied
- Operational Collaboration: Work with operational teams to improve financial awareness and business performance
- Fully qualified or part-qualified accountant, such as CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent
- Strong costing and cost accounting experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing environment
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage and influence non-finance stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Own transport is required due to the location having no access by public transport
