Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Management Accountant to join a highly profitable fast-growing services business. Working as the key finance contact for an expanding business unit, you will partner closely with operational leadership while remaining part of a wider Group finance function. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to step into a highly visible role with significant autonomy, exposure to senior stakeholders and the chance to influence performance.

Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 days per week on site)

What you'll do

  • Take ownership of the monthly management accounts process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Produce insightful board and management reporting, including commentary and variance analysis
  • Partner closely with operational leaders to provide financial insight and support decision making
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
  • Manage a small transactional team of two heads
  • Analyse key business performance drivers, profitability and operational KPIs
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure the integrity of financial reporting
  • Support cash flow forecasting and working capital management
  • Assist with year-end audit requirements and statutory reporting processes
  • Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems and reporting
  • Play a key role in upcoming finance system and ERP developments

About you

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Typically 2-5 years post-qualified experience, although strong candidates outside this range will be considered
  • Strong management accounting and business partnering experience
  • Commercially minded with the ability to build relationships across finance and non-finance teams
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Proactive, hands-on and capable of working with a high degree of autonomy
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insight
  • Experience within a service-based, consulting or people-led business would be advantageous
