Job Description

Our client is recruiting a hands on Maintenance Technician to join their team in Sligo on a permanent contract to help keep their equipment and facilities running smoothly.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair machinery, plant equipment, and building systems to keep production running smoothly.
  • Carry out regular preventative maintenance and record all work in the company's maintenance system (eMaint).
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns, perform repairs, and help get equipment back up and running.
  • Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment or utilities.
  • Work with external contractors and equipment suppliers, managing their work safely on site.
  • Partner with Operations and Quality teams to identify and resolve equipment or process issues.
  • Investigate recurring equipment issues to find and fix the root cause.
  • Assist with internal audits and reviews of equipment performance.
  • Manage spare parts and maintenance supplies.
  • Take part in projects to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Suggest and support process improvements to help increase efficiency (OEE).
  • Provide training to other staff when required.
  • Be available for on call emergency support and future shift work.
Requirements
  • A technical or trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience working with systems such as HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls, or building services.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a GMP regulated environment (pharma, medical devices, or similar).
  • Experience maintaining production equipment, utilities, and facilities systems.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) - experience with eMaint is an advantage.
