Salary: Up to £36,000 + 10% shift allowance + benefits
Working Hours: 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights (4 on, 4 off - 42 hours per week)

Role Overview:
Working within a team across group of client buildings in the Headington area of Oxford and one building in Swindon. The buildings are modern and the working environment is clean.
The Maintenance Engineer will be employed on work appropriate to their core and specialist skills. They will, however, be expected to have and acquire elements of other skills to work flexibly across trades. Suitable training may be provided to ensure competence in performing the following tasks.
What you'll do:
- Carry out Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance.
- Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service, covering electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Carry out modifications and installations when required.
- Liaise with contractors or external suppliers and clearly communicate technical issues.
- Ensure work is carried out to a high standard and in line with company and client policies and procedures.
- Ensure all mechanical and electrical equipment operates at optimum performance.
- Take ownership of tools and equipment, maintaining them to standard and reporting defects.
- Monitor and control operation of Building Critical Systems.
- Perform PPM & Reactive maintenance on client assets including gas-fired appliances, steam systems, air conditioning, refrigeration & chiller systems, lighting & emergency lighting.
- Ensure swift remedy of plant faults and defects to maintain operational order.
- Maintain asset records on the client's PPM / Helpdesk system via a Tablet device.
- Keep accurate records related to statutory tasks, health & safety, building compliance, and quality assurance.
- Escort and monitor specialist subcontractors.
- Operate within a Permit to Work System as per EMCOR UK procedures.
- Assist with routine quality assurance checks, record keeping, and housekeeping.
- Ensure availability of suitable spares for maintenance.
- Oversee building environmental conditions using the BMS system to maintain internal conditions.
- Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.
- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
- Present a professional image of EMCOR UK to clients and visitors.
- Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota.
Who you'll be:
- Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service.

- Decisive when needed.
- Able to ascend/descend vertical access equipment and work at height.
- Formally trained in one or more of the following: Mechanical plant, plumbing, steam plant, gas appliances, Air Conditioning systems.
- Knowledge of maintaining heating, ventilation, building support systems, and control methods.
- Awareness of BMS and electrical systems.
- Experience maintaining high-spec plant in laboratory and office environments.
- Ability to read M&E drawings.
- Good mechanical/electrical knowledge.
