Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for a qualified Electrician Craft 1+ (Technical) to work in Darlington. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician with a strong background in electrical maintenance, electrical installation, fire alarm systems, and emergency lighting testing across both domestic and commercial properties.

This role is ideal for a fully qualified electrician seeking consistent full-time hours within a property maintenance or local authority environment.

The Role - Electrician (Domestic & Commercial)

As an Electrician Craft 1+, you will carry out a range of planned and reactive electrical works across residential and commercial buildings. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship while ensuring compliance with current electrical regulations and safety standards.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise and the ability to work independently across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance and repairs in domestic and commercial properties
• Complete electrical installations in line with current wiring regulations
• Conduct fire alarm testing and emergency lighting testing
• Diagnose faults and complete remedial works efficiently
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
• Complete relevant certification and documentation accurately
• Provide high standards of customer service when working in occupied properties

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this Electrician job in Darlington, you must have:

• Recognised electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Proven experience working in both domestic and commercial electrical environments
• Experience with fire alarm systems and emergency lighting systems
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

Desirable Experience

• Experience working within social housing or property maintenance contracts
• Testing and inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent)
• Experience completing compliance certification
