Are you a hands-on maintenance professional ready to lead E&I operations at a major onshore energy site in the Netherlands?
A leading player in the Dutch energy sector is seeking an experienced Maintenance Coordinator (E&I) to oversee critical maintenance and reliability activities across their Alkmaar-based operations. This role is ideal for a confident, organized technical lead who can manage both the planning and execution of electrical and instrumentation maintenance - all while keeping safety, quality, and operational uptime as top priorities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance on E&I equipment across a high-hazard industrial site
- Develop detailed work packs for complex jobs and minor modifications
- Supervise a fixed team of E&I technicians and manage external vendors/subcontractors
- Lead on-site inspections, field preparation, and ensure compliance with internal procedures and Dutch safety standards
- Maintain and improve asset maintenance strategies using Maximo (CMMS)
- Participate in weekly planning meetings with operations to align maintenance tasks with site priorities
- Support turnarounds (TARs), campaign maintenance, and capital project interfaces
- Ensure QA/QC, documentation, and work order close-out is done properly and on time
- Provide input to the long-term 3M planning and continuously refine existing job plans
- Be a vocal advocate for safety leadership and compliance - this role is part of frontline HSE performance
What You Bring
- Degree in a technical/engineering field (HTS/MTS+) or equivalent experience
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in industrial, energy, or oil & gas environments
- Fluent in both Dutch and English (verbal and written)
- Solid understanding of:
- Electrical systems (LV/HV - NEN 3140 & 3840)
- Instrumentation and control systems
- Field instrumentation and industrial networks
- Experience using Maximo or other CMMS tools
- Proven ability to lead small teams, delegate, and keep projects on track
- Knowledge of QA/QC standards, risk assessment, and MOC (Management of Change) procedures
- Strong safety mindset and practical knowledge of site compliance and inspections
- Must have or be willing to obtain VCA VOL certification
️ Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
- Background in oil & gas or energy infrastructure
- Experience with safety instrumented systems, security systems, and TARs
- Familiarity with 3M planning tools and campaign-based maintenance execution
- Able to liaise effectively with engineers, inspectors, planners, and field staff
