Core Duties
  • Carry out heavy mechanical repairs, including engine overhauls, gearbox replacements, timing chains, and clutch rebuilds
  • Troubleshoot intricate mechanical, electronic, and software faults using official dealer diagnostic technology
  • Perform manufacturer-scheduled maintenance, core servicing, and multi-point vehicle health checks (VHC)
  • Complete clear electronic job cards and coordinate effectively with the service desk and parts counter
  • Collaborate with a high-performing workshop crew to ensure right-first-time quality control
Candidate Profile
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served experience)
  • Technical Mastery: Demonstrated confidence performing engine work, gearbox repairs, and in-depth mechanical fault isolation
  • Experience: Proven background in main-dealer or busy independent workshop environments
  • Attributes: Dedicated, detail-oriented technician focused on high safety standards and clean workmanship
  • Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
