Midday Supervisory Assistant (MSA)

Location: Rownhams St John's CE Primary School, Bakers Drove, Southampton

Start Date: As soon as possible

Contract: Permanent, term time only

Hours: 12:00pm - 1:20pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: Support Staff, Grade A - salary/rate to be confirmed

The Role

• Supervise children in the lunch hall, classrooms, playgrounds, play areas and field
• Help children to eat their lunch safely and happily
• Encourage good manners, kindness and positive play
• Support younger children with practical skills, such as using a knife and fork
• Help set up and tidy the lunch hall, including tables and chairs
• Listen to children and support them with small worries or friendship issues
• Follow the school's behaviour, safeguarding, first aid, health and safety procedures
• Work as part of a friendly team to make lunchtimes safe, calm and enjoyable

• Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding
• Has experience of working with children, or is keen to learn
