Job Description

LUNCHTIME SUPERVISOR

Salary: Grade 2 Point 4 (£25,185 approx whole year) Actual Salary £4,297 per annum depending on years' service

Hours: 7.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 12.00 noon - 1.30 pm

Contract type: Permanent, term time only (38 pupil weeks. Additional time may be required on INSET days for training which will receive an additional payment)

Start Date: ASAP

Ridgeway is a successful 2 form entry primary school in Chasetown. We currently have 417 pupils on roll in the main school and a further 200 children accessing Early Years provision in our term time Ridgeway Tots twos group and Sunbeams Nursery and Sunny Days Nursery, which is open all year.

Ridgeway Primary Academy has an excellent reputation and provides a lively and creative environment in which to work. School received a further 'Good' rating from OFSTED at our last inspection in December 2024 and Sunny Days in July 2024. Ridgeway Primary Academy is one of the founding schools in the Primitas Learning Partnership, a cross phase MAT serving the local area which opened in September 2021. Currently there are seven schools within the partnership; two high schools, four primary schools and a special school. The Trust provides opportunities for the schools to work collaboratively to support school improvement.

We are looking for someone who will:
  • Supervise children before, during and after their meal; encouraging them to eat their meal, be it either a hot dinner or a packed lunch, and to use good table manners at all times.
  • Summon help in case of illness or injury and to report persistent unruly behaviour.
  • Assist in the general setting up and clearing away of dining room equipment.
  • Organising play activities.
