Hinkley Point C (HPC) is the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years. HPC's two EPR reactors are designed to generate 3.26 GW of secure, low carbon electricity for 60 years, enough to power around 6 million homes. The project will create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.
Role responsibilities- Work with the Project, Quality and Completions Managers to ensure the Works Information (WI) has suitable and sufficient content within, pertaining to the collation of Handover Documentation and manage subsequent reviews of this documentation prior to Handover in accordance with distribution and lead reviewer.
- Lead and manage an assigned team of Record Support Officers, collaborating with other members of the Records team and wider Document, Records and Completions Team, to ensure efficient timely delivery, review and approval of all relevant LTQRs to enable follow on works and installation / commissioning and or takeover.
- Direct and liaise with the Quality Managers and Project Team to ensure that contractor's produced partitioning strategy for LTQR work is acceptable and current to NNB and provide continued support as necessary, reviewing and commenting when revisions are required.
- Refine and implement a delivery strategy to support the successful management and promotion of a unified approach to LTQR compilation, submission and review for handover as required of areas, assets, systems and contract work packages/scopes, both for offsite and onsite works. This includes authoring and maintaining suitable work instructions related to an area and or work scopes identifying a graded approach to LTQR reviews where necessary, capturing and implementing lessons learned.
- Produce and manage the associated LTQR technical and non technical checklists, identifying required inputs for the review by various stakeholders. Ensure checklists are filed and stored correctly following completion and submittal to NNB in the EDRMS and reference linked to the relevant LTQR.
- With respect to Licence Condition 6 (LC6), manage awareness, adherence and compliance of contractors, delivery teams and associated MDT's ensuring they are fully aware of their LTQR and LC6 obligations and requirements. Organise briefings, meetings, presentations and provide guidance and familiarisation of these requirements, to better prepare the Contractor to deliver the correct documentation, to the required standard at the appropriate time, in the Project Life Cycle, including but not limited to: NNB Supply Chain and LTQR Audit actions, arranging LTQR Kick off and Refresh meetings as well as providing general LTQR expertise for physical samples.
- Liaise with Tier 1 Contractors, other members of the Document, Records and Completions team and associated NNB MDT's, to ensure that any subsidiary or associated LTQRs are clearly identified, related, scheduled and documented: for example, linking offsite manufacturing and onsite records and communicate to stakeholders as required.
- Represent the LTQR team at relevant Quality Boards as hosted by QDM's and other required meetings providing clarity around status of scope delivery, needs in line with schedules. Generate and interpret reports as required to demonstrate a clear management of the status of LTQRs in each area including knowledge around asset, hold points, witness points or milestones as deemed relevant.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, construction management and or I&C or equivalent.
- Experience in using Electronic Document Management Systems.
- Vocational training, qualifications and experience within a given specialist field e.g. level 3 Welding qualification or equivalent, Electrical certification (Level 3 diploma in Electrical installations or equivalent), coating qualifications (Accredited member of AMPP or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in the delivery of large, complex projects, including Oil & Gas, Power, Chemical and Industrial with specialism in each area e.g. welding or coatings.
- Experience of operating in a high security environment.
