Job Type: Day Rate Contract (9 months initial, 3 days per week in-office, £700 daily, Inside IR35)

Our client, a globally respected name in insurance and risk management, is undertaking a major transformation initiative at the heart of its London Market wholesale broking operations. As part of this strategic 3x3 transformation programme, they are seeking a Senior Project Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering business and technology change across a multi-year roadmap.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead Strategic Project Delivery - Collaborate with Programme and Portfolio Managers to deliver business outcomes that align with organisational strategy.
  • Drive Business & Tech Change - Manage delivery across multiple workstreams involving internal teams and third-party suppliers.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Influence and align senior stakeholders and sponsors with programme objectives.
  • Workshop Facilitation - Run requirement-gathering sessions and steer solution design with internal and external partners.
  • Governance & Reporting - Provide detailed progress updates, RAID logs, and steer critical path tracking.
  • Resource & Risk Management - Secure project resources, track budgets, and mitigate project risk to ensure smooth execution.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the London Insurance Market.
  • Strong understanding of Broker and Carrier placement journeys.
  • A good understanding of the wholesale broking side of London Markets.
  • Strong background delivering large-scale business and technology transformations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management across all levels, including C-suite.
  • Experience in governance, budgeting, risk management, and vendor engagement.
  • Skilled in RAID logs, milestone tracking, and developing clear business cases.
  • Certified in project methodologies such as Agile, PRINCE2, or MSP, with practical application experience.
  • Familiarity with regulatory or operational change programmes (e.g., IFRS17, MiFID II, TOM).
  • Ability to lead cross-functional delivery teams in a high-pressure, fast-paced setting.
