Logistics Solutions Engineer

Gleeson is working exclusively with a fast-growing and forward-thinking logistics business that is expanding its operations and investing in future automation.

They are looking for a Logistics Solutions Engineer to support the optimisation and improvement of warehouse operations. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to develop their skills, get involved in exciting projects, and help shape modern logistics solutions.

Job Title : Solution Design Engineer Location : West Midlands ( Hybrid ) Salary : £50-£55,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development of warehouse solutions by helping to gather client requirements, complete site assessments, and work closely with internal teams.
• Assist with projects from first discussions through to implementation, making sure work is delivered on time and to a high standard.
• Work with and learn from experienced solution designers, engineers, and project managers.
• Build positive relationships with clients, helping to understand their needs and contribute to practical warehouse design ideas that improve efficiency.
• Keep up to date with new industry trends and technologies to help improve future solutions.
• Contribute to cost-benefit analysis to support decision-making and highlight opportunities for savings or improvement.
• Help identify and manage potential risks within projects to ensure smooth delivery.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and engineering teams to ensure solutions support wider business goals.

Key Experience:

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse improvement
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Understanding of warehouse design, layouts, or brownfield site improvements.
• Basic understanding of tenders and customer requirements.
• Industry background in Logistics or warehousing is beneficial.
